Hoo-Rah for Rice!
A 7hr solid night's sleep occurred last night - FINALLY!! Turns out my *Monkey* is allergic to oatmeal. WTF? Although the red cheeks & nose were cute - she is a much happier baby, and I'm a much happier mommy. No allergic reaction (knock on wood!!) - and a well slept night. In fact, I pumped up her amount of rice (I've been doing it gradual since she doesn't like it too thick yet) AND she devoured 4oz of rice/formula mix in...less than 5 minutes. Oh, it's almost too good to be true!!
I am a happy camper - talk about a freaking milestone MUCH needed.
Now..if I could just get her to hold her own bottle? LOL

Congrats on the sleep!! Yippee! I TOLD you it would happen sooner or later... LOL
And as for the oatmeal... well, rice is generally suggested first, anyhow... and she very well may grow out of the oatmeal issue. I'd say tr barley next (after a good 2 weeks or so on the rice), the try barley. If that goes well, you can try oatmeal again after about another 2 weeks. Once all the cereals are mastered... (so, in about another 4-6 weeks), say HELLO to veggies and fruit!! I'd recommend bananas or applesauce first if you try fruit... carrots or peas if you do veggies!
Just remember... give only ONE new food at a time, and give it a minimum of 5-7 days before you try something new... this will give her body time to adjust, and also if you run into an actual allergy issue, you will know EXACTLY what food was the culprit. =)
